Long-term family business shows Long Island library the meaning of community
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Levittown, NY— When Island Trees Public Library decided to upgrade their outdated copy machine, they knew to turn to trusted copier, printer and scanning solutions providers at CCP Solutions for the best possible answer to their dilemma.
As a family-owned business specializing in Public and Academic Libraries as well as B2B for over 37 years, CCP Solutions’ strong sense of family and community has helped hundreds of local public libraries and large academic institutions in the tri-state area. For the staff at Island Trees, this was no different.
Staff members had been using their black and white Copystar 2550 copy machine for copying and printing, and had grown accustomed to using their desktop color inkjet printers to print the colorful flyers they needed to promote the wide array of community activities the library regularly offers. After going through countless (and costly) color inkjets, staff members soon recognized they needed a change. After consulting with the library, CCP Solutions determined the perfect fit for both the library’s budget and the staff’s wishes, which came in the form of a Kyocera 2026 color desktop copy machine.
“We’ve been with CCP Solutions for quite awhile, and this is our very first experience with a color copier, but we couldn’t be happier,” says Island Trees’ Business Manager Juliet Feeley. “The color is excellent and true to life, and of course the fact that we’re saving a tremendous amount of money has worked out quite well for us!”
The new Kyocera machine is not only a major space-saver, but works twice as fast, provides excellent color quality and costs 3 times less to operate than the previous copy machine. It just goes to show that the old “bigger is better” saying isn’t always so, which is where the knowledge and expertise of CCP Solutions comes into play.
“Most salespeople in our field do not have the skills to conduct an effective solution study. The average ‘copier’ salesperson is primarily interested in achieving their personal sales quota rather than helping the customer cut costs and improve productivity,” says Piskin. “CCP’s ‘total document solutions’ approach always puts the customer’s needs first. We accomplish this by first conducting a proper assessment of current costs associated with their current MFP and evaluating how documents move through the work environment. It is surprising how much we save our customers by first conducting our simple assessment. Once this is done correctly we then determine the best methods to cut costs and improve staff productivity.”
This is one lesson that all libraries, whether great or small, can learn. “And,” Piskin adds, “most importantly, this is what makes CCP Solutions different.”
