Farmingdale, NY — CCP Solutions (www.ccpcopy.com), a leader in providing green, sustainable document management services in the tri-state area, recently presented the “Save-A-Tree” Scannx Award to both Rutgers and Princeton Universities.
“As a Scannx Book ScanCenter Elite Reseller and both Rutgers’ and Princeton’s trusted Self-Service Scannx ScanCenter specialist, I am proud to present this award, which acknowledges these institutions as leaders in contributing to the environment by their use of digital, cost-efficient scanning solutions,” said Wayne Piskin, CCP Solutions’ Vice President. “In one year, each university greatly reduced the use and cost of paper and toner by digitally scanning over 600,000 pages, and in recognition of this achievement, Scannx, through the Arbor Day Foundation, will plant 75 trees on behalf of each university.”
The “Save-A-Tree” Award was established in 2014 as part of Scannx’s sustainability program. The company plants a tree for every 8,333 pages scanned on any of its Book ScanCenter systems. In 2013, over 10 million pages were scanned by academic and public institutions, which will result in 1,250 trees being planted in our country’s national parks.
